It is hard for me to believe, but Ruthie was born one month ago today. It is amazing to me how fast the time has gone, and how much we've gotten to know each other in such a short time. Jerod was commenting the other day about how incredibly alert and strong she seems compared to when she was born. And I'm starting to think she feels heavy compared to what she was just a few weeks ago. She's almost 8.5 lbs already! The changes happen SO fast - I'm really glad we're doing this blog so I can remember all of the stages of her life. One thing is for sure, we have been blessed with a totally beautiful little girl who is almost always happy and content. She is truly a joy!
To celebrate turning one month, this is how Ruthie spent her morning:
First she spent a long time in the swing watching the mobile and talking to the animals.
Next she took a bath. I think bath time is one of her favorite activities. She's always so calm and happy in the water.
Then she dried off in her towel, and tried to eat it too.
And finally she got dressed in one of her tank-top onesies, because it has been a hot first month of life here in Minnesota. We are all looking forward to the weather cooling off a little bit so we can get outside more.
Wow, one month old already! She is so sweet and such a mixture of the two of you. it is amazing what the love of two people and the grace of God can do. Enjoy every minute, it really does go so fast!!! Can't wait ot meet you Ruthie and hug your parents!! The Howe Girls of Cary
